The Region

Quiet and Secluded

Quiet and secluded, these little hamlets are perfect for those seeking rest and relaxation on long, sandy beaches with hardly another soul in sight.

Comprising just a handful of houses and a caravan park, Hydeaway Bay is the perfect spot for getting away from it all and maybe casting a line off the beautiful, almost empty beach.

The beach has five public access points and you can comb for shells on a low tide, swim the fringing coral reef, or try your luck fishing from the beach or in a “tinnie” (Aussie lingo for an aluminum boat). The nearest boat hire and ramp is just down the road at Dingo Beach.

The Whitsunday Region is home to a range of restaurants, experiences, and bluewater fun.
